There is a large percentage of our population who wear glasses, but as well as correcting our vision defects, many of us want to look good in our eyewear! Thankfully the days are gone when a choice in style of glasses was virtually non-existent. Today, there are so many different styles, materials, colours and brands of eyewear on the market, and at a very wide price range, so everyone can find something to suit their tastes.

When choosing eyewear, there are many things to consider;

Which style do you prefer and which style suits you?

Frames come in many shapes and sizes, and there is a type to suit everyone. Rectangular, narrow frames are perfect for those with round or square shaped faces, whilst round or oval frames tend to suit those with rectangular or oval faces. Some lenses are designed to be narrow at the top or at the bottom to balance out certain face shapes. Those with heart shaped faces could wear frames with narrow tops, whilst those with a wider jaw line and a narrow forehead suit glasses with a narrow bottom.

Fashionable frames today are quite heavy with thick rims, and you can make a real statement with your eyewear. If you are not so keen, rimless or semi rimless frames are another popular option as they are very light and not so noticeable as fully frames glasses.

Which colour frame will suit your complexion?
Glasses Frames are available in almost every colour under the sun. You can choose any colour you like, but it is often helpful to think about your complexion and hair colour when choosing a frame. If you have a wintery complexion, you will probably suit frames which are black, pink, blue-grey, dark purple, and deep green and blue. If you have a summery skin tone, then you might want to choose from colours such as gold, peach, cream, red, blue and pale pink.
