Vehicle stickers are an almost everyday sight these days, whether they are giving an insight into the personal life of the driver, such as telling you their favourite football team, which radio station they listen to and any political affiliation that they may have. The fact that fellow motorists notice these stickers and read what they say shows that they could be very effective means of advertising for businesses. These stickers can be used effectively by firms using vans as these stickers are cost-effective and can be used to advertise the business outside working hours or whilst driving to and from a job. The use of these stickers, twinned with advertisements on radio or in newspapers, could potentially attract a greater number of customers than just using these aforementioned means of advertising by themselves.

There are a wide range of printing firms which can produce almost any design in several different types of sticker such as ‘Self-Adhesive’ and ‘Window Cling’ stickers (which can be attached to glass surfaces like the rear window) and also ‘Livery’ stickers which can be fixed to the metalwork of a vehicle.

‘Window Cling’ stickers are usually attached to the interior of a glass surface. These stickers use surface tension instead of glue, this means that there is no glue residue left behind on the surface of the glass when the stickers are peeled off. ‘Adhesive Vinyl’ and ‘White/Clear Self Adhesive Vinyl’ stickers are plastic PVC stickers can withstand outside conditions as they are highly durable, giving them a very long life. The vinyl for these stickers comes in a variety of forms such as removable, permanent and ‘black back’.

Vehicle stickers are also available as ‘Livery’ stickers with a ‘crack back’ for an easy-peel reverse, allowing them to be stuck to the metalwork of vehicles as an alternative to the traditional form of stickers which are stuck to glass. This form allows the sticker to be of a larger, more eye-catching size than one on a vehicle’s rear window, making it perfect for use on a van, especially for the purposes of advertising.
